Rug Hand Washing

Traditional Rugs Washing

Traditional Rugs Washing

Years ago, beating a rug with a carpet beater was the way to remove the dust. Unfortunately, this method often brakes the fibers, particularly in older valuable rugs. Today, we use soft compressed air and modern tools to move dust and dry particles hidden deep into the rug, to the surface and out of the rug. This act repeated twice on both back and the front surface of the rug until the dry particles completely removed from the rug.

In the second step, the rug is submerged in the fresh water pool and hand washed with all natural cleaners while fresh water is continually rinsing the rug.

The third step is optional. To thoroughly remove the most difficult odors, we can do a decontamination bath. During this safe bath, heavy rollers go back and forth over the surface of the rug, forcing the fibers to release the deeply imbedded odor. (There is an extra charge for this process. Please ask when calling for an estimate.)

Forth step is rinsing. We thoroughly rinse the rug to remove the entire residue out of the rug making your rug look and feel clean!

After a final rinse the rug is hung in specially designed rooms to dry. The triple level of fans and climate control assures drying process is quick and thorough process. Finally, we work on cleaning the fringe, restoring it to its original color and luster. And the last step, is grooming of the rug pile and fringe.

We have FREE local pickup and delivery in many areas in Toronto. Drop offs are also welcome. For further details and FREE estimate please call us: (416) 488 6526
